This is what your 10 day round trip could look like
Cairo – Where history comes to life
Your journey begins at the foot of the last remaining ancient wonder of the world, at the Pyramids of Giza, which have not lost their impact to this day. With a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum and a stroll through the narrow alleys of Khan-El-Khalili, Cairo immerses you immediately in a city between millennia. Thus, you already gain a sense of how close antiquity and the present are in Egypt.
Aswan – The tranquility of the south
On the way to Aswan, an optional excursion to the monumental temples of Abu Simbel is offered, which Ramses II once had constructed at Egypt's southern border. In Aswan itself, you can expect a significantly quieter atmosphere with picturesque views of the Nile and Elephantine Island. The perfect place to catch your breath in a spectacular setting before the Nile cruise begins.
Nile cruise – Magic of the river
On board your luxurious dahabiya, you glide leisurely northward, letting the landscape pass by on the shore. Along the way, you visit the temple complexes of Kom Ombo and Edfu, two of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. Thus, you combine intense sightseeing with relaxing hours on board until you reach Luxor.
Luxor – City of gods and kings
In Luxor, the ancient Thebes, you will find some of the most significant temple complexes in Egypt: Karnak, the Luxor Temple, and on the West Bank, the Valley of the Kings with the colorfully decorated tombs of the pharaohs. The quiet Valley of the Queens is also worth a visit. Hardly any other place unites so much world history in such a small area as Luxor. On the tranquil West Bank, you will relax in a traditionally oriental boutique hotel that, with its artistic architecture, feels like a small oasis away from the hustle and bustle.
El Gouna – Optional extension at the Red Sea
Those who wish to extend their trip will find the perfect conclusion in El Gouna: lagoons, fine sandy beaches, and modern design invite you to relax. Whether snorkeling in the Red Sea, on a sunset boat tour, or strolling through the charming lagoon city – here, the journey can ideally be extended as desired.
