Explore Doha
Day 1: The opening begins at the National Museum of Qatar, where modern architecture in the form of a desert rose narrates the history and culture of the country. Then, a walk along the Corniche with views of the sparkling skyline takes you to the heart of the city. In the afternoon, the Souq Waqif lures with its fragrant spice stalls, falcon shops, and small cafés – a lively labyrinth that brings tradition to life. The evening concludes with dinner at the Souq before the city lights glitter during an evening stroll by the water.
Day 2: In the morning, the Museum of Islamic Art awaits with masterpieces from centuries of Islamic culture. A walk through the adjacent park offers unique perspectives of the skyline. In the afternoon, it's out into the desert: with a 4x4 vehicle over golden dunes, on camelback through the silence, until the sun sinks on the horizon above the Inland Sea. A dinner at a Bedouin camp or back in Doha rounds off this intense day.
Day 3: The last day in Doha focuses on the creative facets of the city. In Katara Cultural Village, art, architecture, and sea views merge to create a special atmosphere. After lunch featuring fresh fish, you continue to Pearl-Qatar, where elegant boulevards, yachts, and cafés contrast with traditional Doha. The evening concludes the journey with a rooftop dinner above the city – a last look at the sparkling skyline before heading to Muscat.
From Muscat to Nizwa
Day 4: After arriving in Muscat, you pick up your rental car and drive inland. Upon arriving in the former capital Nizwa, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the old oasis city, whose fort and souk are especially worth seeing. Stroll through the narrow alleys and soak in the cozy evening atmosphere. Today is all about settling in, taking a breath, and embracing the pace of Oman.
Ascent into the mountains
Day 5: Today's journey takes you up into the Hajar Mountains. Along the way, the Across Ages Museum offers exciting insights into the history and culture of the Sultanate. Upon reaching Jabal Akhdar, Alila Jabal Akhdar awaits – a place of tranquility with spectacular views of deep gorges and green terraced fields. Enjoy the vistas of the deep canyons and find relaxation in the spectacular pool or with a soothing massage high up in the mountains.
Day 6: A light hike connects three traditional mountain villages that lie like pearls on the slopes. Old mud houses, falaj irrigation systems, and orchards tell of life in the mountains. If desired, an Omani guide shares stories of his life and experiences in the mountain landscape. Back at the hotel, there is time to enjoy the view into the endless valley.
From the mountains to the desert
Day 7: Today's trip takes you back to the lowlands – with a stop at the turquoise Wadi Bani Khalid, whose natural pools invite for swimming. In the afternoon, you reach the Wahiba Sands, where the private Canvas Club desert camp offers stylish adventure. Dunes, starry skies, and Bedouin hospitality create an unforgettable night.
Back to the sea
Day 8 - 11: On the way back to Muscat, a detour to Wadi Shab or the mysterious Bimmah Sinkhole beckons. Refresh yourself in the natural pools of the wadis before continuing your journey. In the late afternoon, the coast is reached: At Jumeirah Muscat Bay, the relaxed part of the trip begins – swimming, sun, and Arabian calm at the Gulf of Oman are on your agenda for the next few days.
