Riyadh & Buraidah
Your journey begins in the Saudi capital, Riyadh – where tradition and modernity meet. You will discover the National Museum, explore the historic Souq Al-Zal, and the UNESCO World Heritage site Al-Turaif with its mudbrick architecture. The sunset from the Kingdom Centre offers stunning views, followed by an authentic evening in a Saudi private home with traditional food.
Take a day trip to the Al-Qassim region to Buraidah. On the way, you will experience charming villages before visiting the architecturally impressive Al-Qassim Museum, which vividly reflects the heritage of the region.
Excursion to Ha'il
Ha'il is located in the central north of the country and is a land where the dream landscapes of Arabia serve as the theater of 1001 Nights.
Upon arrival, you check into your hotel and head straight to Jubbah. This world-renowned site houses some of the oldest and most remarkable carvings on the Arabian Peninsula. It was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2015. After a tour of Jubbah, you will visit the fortress of Al-Qishlah, built in the 1940s during the principality of Prince Abdul-Aziz bin Musa'ad Al Saud from the province of Ha'il.
The Magic of AlUla
Today you leave Ha'il and reach AlUla – one of the most fascinating regions of Saudi Arabia. There, you will be warmly welcomed by a local family known for their high-quality dates. Enjoy first impressions of this special oasis landscape. The rest of the day is free for your leisure.
The next day, you will explore the highlights of AlUla. You will visit the impressive rock tomb site of Madain Saleh, Saudi Arabia's first UNESCO World Heritage site with over 100 monumental Nabataean tombs. Then, you will discover the ancient oasis town of Dadan with its famous lion tombs. To conclude, admire the iconic Elephant Rock, a geological wonder.
A day trip takes you to the spectacular Wadi Al Disah, a hidden valley with lush vegetation, waterways, and sandstone cliffs rising up to 500 meters. On a light hike, you will explore the breathtaking landscape. In the evening, you return to AlUla camp and relax after the day.
The holy Medina
Today you continue after breakfast to Medina – the drive takes about four hours. Upon arrival, you first visit Mount Uhud, the highest mountain in Medina and an important pilgrimage site. It commemorates the famous battle between Muslim and Meccan troops in 625 AD.
For lunch, you stop at the Tabakha Souq – an open, local market known for fresh fish and traditional kebabs. Afterwards, you visit one of the most important sanctuaries of Islam: the Prophet's Mosque (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi).
The day concludes with a stroll along Qiba Street, which connects the Prophet's Mosque with the Qiba Mosque – two historically significant sites central to Islamic history.
Conclusion in Jeddah
In the morning, you head to the city of Jeddah. Here, you visit a museum with exhibits from pre-Islamic, Islamic, and Saudi times that showcase different epochs of history. Afterwards, you explore the old town of Al-Balad, the historic heart of Jeddah and UNESCO World Heritage site. The old houses with ornate windows and doors, as well as buildings made of coral stone and rock, tell of the city’s rich past.
During a break in a traditional café, you can try the regionally typical tea with milk and herbs. Then you visit the first hotel in Jeddah with Italian-inspired architecture, as well as an art house featuring a collection of local art and antiques.
The rest of your stay is at your leisure. Don’t want to go home just yet? How about a beach extension at The Red Sea? We would be happy to advise you on a glorious conclusion to your trip!
