The Oman fascinates me again and again with its diversity. One can travel there as often as one likes – this magical world surprises you every time with undiscovered corners and new facets.

AlUla - Saudi Arabia
My next dream destination? Definitely Al-Ula! I imagine this magical place in Saudi Arabia with its impressive rock formations and ancient cultural treasures to be absolutely fascinating.

Discover OmanAbout Julia – How the East Captured My Heart
Even as a child, Aladdin was one of my favorite movies – this magical feeling of 1001 nights has never left me. Before my time with Take Memories, the Arab world was still uncharted territory for me. Now, the East has a permanent place in my heart: I have crossed golden dunes in Oman, wandered through the souks of Muscat, and stood fascinated before the skyline of Dubai, where skyscrapers and desert meet in a fascinating way.
It is this contrast that makes the region so special for me. In Dubai, I experienced how effortlessly tradition and the future can coexist – in the morning, a stroll through the historic Al Fahidi district with its wind towers and narrow alleys, in the afternoon, the view from the Burj Khalifa over a city that is constantly reinventing itself. And yet: Where can the feeling of 1001 nights be experienced more intensely than in our Canvas Club Camp in the middle of the Omani desert when the stars rise over the dunes?
By now, I have already been to Oman three times, and each trip has shown me new sides of the country. To this day, I am fascinated by the deep authenticity and tranquility that one feels there – a counterpoint to the vibrant, ultra-modern life that inspires me in Dubai and the other metropolises of the Arabian Peninsula.
And then there is the Arabic cuisine, which I simply find fantastic! The flavors, the hospitality, the small moments between desert and metropolis – that always draw me back to the East. I want to pass on this enthusiasm to you so that your journey also becomes your very own 1001 Nights experience.
Places that particularly excite me:
Nizwa
Nizwa completely surprised me. I did not expect how charming this historic city is – and how many stylish cafés hide in its old alleys. My tip: definitely stay overnight. Because the special flair really unfolds in the evening when the fairy lights are turned on and an almost magical atmosphere reigns in the old streets.
Alila Hinu Bay
The Alila Hinu Bay near Salalah holds a very special place in my heart – because I was welcomed there so warmly and hospitably, which is rare. The surroundings are unique too: the rugged, almost moon-like landscape that surrounds the resort deeply impressed me. For me, it is the ideal place to unwind after an exciting round trip.
Dubai
Despite all the clichés, I was fascinated by Dubai. The sparkling lights, the bustling energy, and the top-notch gastronomy make the city absolutely worthwhile for me. And as someone with a pronounced "sweet tooth," the famous Dubai chocolate is of course also part of my visit.
