Location

Sir Bani Yas Island lies off the coast of Abu Dhabi in the Arabian Gulf and is considered one of the most extraordinary natural islands in the UAE. Just about 250 kilometers west of Abu Dhabi, you can reach this paradise after approximately two and a half hours of travel from Abu Dhabi International Airport, followed by a short boat ride from the Jebel Dhanna Jetty. Even during the crossing, an impressive view of the turquoise shimmering sea opens up. Sir Bani Yas Island was once created by Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE, as a protected area for endangered species. Today, over 11,000 free-roaming animals live here, including giraffes, Oryx antelopes, gazelles, and cheetahs – all part of a successful conservation project that embodies the vision of a harmonious coexistence of humans, animals, and nature.
