Luxurious blue villa with an outdoor pool surrounded by sun loungers, plants, and seating areas under bright daylight.

La Maison Bleue El Gouna

Directly on Mangroovy Beach in El Gouna, where the desert meets the Red Sea, lies La Maison Bleue El Gouna – a powder-blue estate that looks as if it has emerged from a novel. The antique collector Amr Khalil and architect Olivier Sednaoui once created the house as a private guest villa for El Gouna founder Samih Sawiris, building a fantastical world between Venice, Istanbul, Damascus, and North Africa: Minoan wall paintings, Catalan mosaics, Syrian arches, and Venetian tiles all live under one roof. Only 13 suites are spread over the property furnished with antiques, hand-painted murals, and chandeliers, surrounded by gardens designed by French landscape architect Louis Benech. Adults Only and with direct access to a private lagoon, La Maison Bleue El Gouna is a place for all those seeking design, tranquility, and sophistication away from the hustle and bustle of El Gouna.

Culinary

In Le Restaurant and the newer Botanica, Franco-Egyptian cuisine is served with seasonal ingredients and herbs from the hotel's own greenhouse, accompanied by carefully selected wines. At the pool bar, there are Mediterranean snacks and creative cocktails with herbs from the garden during the day, while breakfast is served anytime and practically anywhere on the property. Under intricately vaulted arcades or directly at the lagoon, each meal transforms into a small experience – stylish, yet never stiff.
